| Villeneuve loses his place at BAR for 2004 and will be replaced by the Japanese driver Sato.
Dissapointed by this decision, Villeneuve retires and Sato already starts for BAR in the last race in 2003.
It seems very unlikely that Villeneuve will ever be able to get back into Formula 1 again.
